ST 63 Self propelled powerunit
The ST 63 is a powerunit, to which we can easily connect al kind of different, professional, heads.
Some unique features:
- 5,5 HP professional Honda engine.
- 1 PTO running at 1800 rpm.
- Two clutches for drive and PTO.
- Groundspeed setting via gearsets.
- Weight of base machine: 105 kg.
- Low maintenance.
- Easy to work with: like a wheel barrow.
- The heads can pivot in the main frame.
- In combination with one large front wheel:
Perfect following of the undulations.
Some possible applications (more are available or can be developped) :
The ST 20 head is a verti-cutter head, with 1.5 mm thick fixed blades at a 20 mm distance.
Since the head has an adjustable front roller and fixed rear wheeld, it follows the undulations in gardens and golf greens perfectly.
Working depth can be set from 0- 15 mm.
The vibrating spikes at the ST 21-55, go till 55 mm, 2 1/4" deep. As the spikes roll over the ground, the the unique driven cam shaft in the centre, let them vibrate. It is this vibration that:
- gives the working depth
- leave nice holes/ slits
- cracks the ground surface ( de-compaction)
A similar unique cam shaft is built in the ST 22, Vibe Drum Spiker. It plugs cores upto a depth of 55 mm/ 2-1/4". Since the hollow coring tines are mounted on a disk and rotate, it rolls over hard surfaces, like stones and tree roots.
Basically, we can mount most of our GT heads to the ST 63. This means that if a greenkeeper don't like using a triplex, he can use one single head in combination with the self propelled ST63.
A good example is the ST 30, Vibe Smoother, mounted to the ST 63. The vibrating plates smoothen the surface of the green.
We have several overseeder heads , that can be mounted in the ST 63. First the ST 410/412, which uses vibrating spikes, that create nice holes and plant the seed.
Next the ST 420, which is a slit seeder. The vibrating knives cut a slit in the turf. At the same time, the seed is guide through funnels into that slit.
Finally, we have the ST 45 (picture), which is specially designed for overseeding and first seeding of gardens. A larger seedhopper, larger rollers and bigger vibrating spikes, create holes for the seed who is broad casted in front of the spikes.
The ST 63 is developped 5 years ago and has some advantages over the PuT 63. First the heads can freely float, so they follow exactly the undulations of the garden or green. Easy to work with like a wheel barrow. The total width of 82 cm makes it easy to go through doors into the garden.
For transport the head is tilted backwards ( with the footpedal, see picture) and locked.
